This Privacy Policy explains how Doro Rides collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our app, website, and services. By using Doro Rides, you agree to this policy.

We are a 100% Pakistani-owned company, registered with SECP, FBR, IPO, Punjab Transport Department, and TNC.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

From You:

 Full name, email, phone number, and profile photo

Payment information (processed securely we do not store card details)

Driver/captain details: CNIC, driving license, vehicle registration

Emergency contact information

Messages with our support team

Automatically:

GPS location during active trips

Device model, operating system, and device ID

Trip history, routes, and timestamps

IP address and browser type on our website

App crash and performance reports

From Third Parties:

Payment processors (JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Stripe)

Google Maps for routing

Firebase for push notifications

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

To match riders with nearby drivers

To process payments and send receipts

To verify driver identity and vehicle details

 To send ride updates and notifications

To provide customer support

 To detect fraud and protect user safety

 To comply with Pakistani law

To improve our app and services

To send promotions you can opt out anytime

We do NOT sell your personal data to anyone.

We do NOT use your data for third-party advertising.

3. LOCATION DATA

Riders: Location is collected when requesting and during a ride only. We do not track you after your trip ends.

Drivers: Location is collected only when you are active on the app. Tracking stops when you go offline.

Your exact location is shared only with your matched driver or rider during an active trip. Phone numbers are masked neither party sees the other's real number.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

With other users:

Riders see driver name, photo, vehicle, and rating

Drivers see rider name and pickup location only

With service providers:

 Payment processors, AWS hosting, Google Maps, SMS providers

All bound by strict confidentiality agreements

For legal reasons:

 Pakistani law enforcement or courts if required by law

Emergency services in safety situations

We do NOT share your data with advertisers, data brokers, foreign corporations, or competitors.

5. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

 Data stored on secure AWS servers

 All connections encrypted with SSL/TLS (HTTPS)

Passwords hashed — never stored in plain text

Firewalls, rate limiting, and regular security audits in place

Access restricted to authorised Doro Rides staff only

6. DATA RETENTION

Account data: kept while your account is active

Trip history: 5 years (for disputes and legal compliance)

Payment records: 7 years (FBR tax requirements)

Account deletion: personal data deleted within 30 days of request

7. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you

Correct inaccurate information

Delete your account and data

Opt out of marketing communications

Request your data in a portable format

Withdraw consent for optional processing

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Doro Rides is not for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has registered, contact us at privacy@dororides.com and we will delete their account immediately.

Essential cookies: used to keep you logged in (cannot be disabled)

Analytics cookies: anonymised website usage data

We do NOT use advertising cookies

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Our app may link to Google Maps, payment gateways, or other services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies separately.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy when our services or laws change. We will notify you via app, email, or website notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
